Qualifications and responsibilities for this Field Engineer – Utility Poles position include:
- Associate’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering (or related utility discipline) – Provide technical service and engineering support to electric utility customers
- Experience in power distribution (strongly preferred) – Support installations, resolve field issues, and assist with sizing and specifying utility poles
- Proficiency in CAD design – Prepare product specifications and assist with pole sizing and technical documentation
- Strong technical writing skills – Develop installation guidelines, training materials, and final reports
- Customer-facing technical experience – Lead or participate in technical discussions and collaborate with internal technical and quality teams
- Problem-solving and analytical skills – Translate customer needs into practical engineering solutions
- Willingness to travel 20–40% (Southeast U.S.) – Support on-site installations, training, and customer issue resolution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel – Manage technical data sheets, reports, and communication
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus 10% bonus.
