Qualifications and responsibilities for this Civil Engineering Department Manager position include:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Nevada – Lead and oversee all civil engineering operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
- 10–15+ years of progressive civil engineering experience – Drive department strategy, growth initiatives, and long-term planning.
- Proven team leadership and management experience – Recruit, mentor, and manage engineers, project managers, and design staff.
- Strong technical expertise in site development, grading, drainage, utilities, and water/wastewater design – Provide hands-on technical guidance and quality control.
- Project management experience – Oversee scope, budgets, schedules, and deliverables for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
- Business development and client relationship skills – Establish and maintain client partnerships to secure new design contracts.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams – Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Entrepreneurial mindset – Build department processes, represent the company in professional organizations, and scale operations for long-term success.
Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
