This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit, family-run manufacturing team that designs and builds highly specialized industrial equipment used across plastics, textiles, and government-related applications. We are actively hiring a Manufacturing Mechanical Design Engineer for a full-time, in-office role located in Ormond Beach, Florida, where you’ll work hands-on with custom machinery projects that are ramping up quickly due to strong incoming demand. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Manufacturing Mechanical Design Engineer position include:
- Designing and developing industrial machinery and mechanical systems using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
- Creating detailed drawings, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Applying GD&T, ASME codes, and drafting standards to ensure manufacturability and safety
- Performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Collaborating closely with manufacturing, CNC machining, and production teams
- Integrating PLCs or other automation components into mechanical designs
- Managing project timelines and supporting multiple equipment design projects
- Utilizing strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, materials knowledge, and system design experience
Salary: $65,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
