This Pipeline CAD Operator opportunity is based in Fort Worth, TX, offering the chance to work on high-profile oil, gas, and natural gas projects for major energy clients while enjoying a stable workload, strong company culture, and exciting long-term growth.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Pipeline CAD Operator position include:
- 5+ years of experience drafting pipeline projects within oil & gas, natural gas, or infrastructure is required
- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings including pipeline routes, alignments, profiles, cross-sections, isometrics, and plats
- Determine optimal pipeline routing by analyzing maps, terrain, land use, environmental constraints, and regulatory requirements
- Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bentley (MicroStation) to produce accurate construction documents
- Interpret survey data, engineering sketches, redlines, and specifications to develop constructable designs
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as ASME, API, and Texas Railroad Commission guidelines
- Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to refine designs and support project execution
- Review drawings for quality control, update documents with as-built data, and support field verification as needed
Salary: $60,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
