Qualifications and responsibilities for this Chief Estimator position include:
- 10+ years of estimating experience in excavation, underground utilities, and site work, including team leadership
- Advanced expertise in HeavyBid and HeavyJob, including cost databases and production rate libraries
- Lead, mentor, and develop an estimating team while refining workflows and bid strategies
- Oversee and review complex estimates for excavation, utility, and site work scopes
- Manage bid pipelines, subcontractor relationships, and pricing strategies
- Use HeavyJob data to improve cost accuracy and field execution planning
- Collaborate with operations to validate constructability and scope assumptions
- Monitor market trends and report on estimate performance and business opportunities
Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Bonus potential up to 25%, with possible long-term stock options after 6 months.
