We’re seeking a MEP Technical Sales Representative based in Lakewood, NJ (with a flexible office setup) to join a small, driven team and help scale a business already delivering multi-million dollar projects in just its first year. This is an exciting opportunity to sell HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and energy efficiency upgrades where the average deal ranges from $100K to $1.5M — and with very little competition in the space, the potential for success is massive!
Qualifications and responsibilities for this MEP Technical Sales Representative position include:
- Previous sales experience in MEP, HVAC, energy efficiency, or related commercial services
- Strong networking skills and ability to generate and manage your own leads
- Ability to communicate effectively with property owners, building managers, and commercial clients
- Comfortable working with long sales cycles (3–9 months) and closing large, complex deals
- Capable of conducting site surveys and proposing technical solutions for energy upgrades
- Self-motivated and driven to exceed annual sales targets of $2M+
- Willingness to work two days a week in-office (Lakewood or Newark), with flexible fieldwork
- Familiarity with rebate/incentive programs and clean energy solutions is a strong plus
Salary: $70,000 base plus commission (4%) – on target earnings of $130,000+ per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including a $500 monthly vehicle allowance for car and fuel.
