We’re hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer in New York, NY to lead the mechanical design for cutting-edge facilities in the science, technology, laboratory, mission-critical, and data center sectors. This is a career-defining role for a seasoned mechanical/HVAC expert who thrives on tackling highly technical projects from start to finish while mentoring the next generation of engineers.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Mechanical Engineer position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering; PE license preferred
- 10–15+ years of mechanical/HVAC design experience within the MEP consulting industry
- Deep expertise in designing complex mechanical systems and components
- Lead HVAC design efforts, prepare scopes of work, engineering studies, and construction budgets
- Analyze and improve the operation of existing systems
- Supervise and mentor staff, oversee project document completion, and ensure quality control
- Interface with code officials, clients, and external design professionals
- Manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring compliance with all design codes
Salary: $130,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
