We’re seeking a Preconstruction Manager in Grand Haven, MI to lead the estimating and design development process for complex electrical projects, including high-rises and large-scale design-build work. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Preconstruction Manager position include:
- 5+ years of experience in electrical estimating and/or design, preferably in commercial or industrial construction
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in Accubid, Bluebeam, and other electrical estimating and design software is required
- Develop and manage cost estimates, design solutions, and preconstruction documentation for projects up to $20M
- Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and vendors to prepare bids and value engineering proposals
- Perform material takeoffs, coordinate procurement efforts, and support vendor selection
- Attend client interviews and present proposals with confidence and technical insight
- Ensure design compliance with codes and quality standards, identify project risks, and continuously improve preconstruction processes
Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
