An exciting opportunity awaits for a Building Engineer in vibrant West Palm Beach, FL, where you’ll take the lead on maintaining and operating two iconic historic properties in the heart of downtown. With a total of over 160,000 square feet across both buildings, this role offers a unique chance to work hands-on with older equipment and systems that require a skilled, experienced professional. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Building Engineer position include:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in commercial building maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills with older equipment and mechanical systems
- Responsible for day-to-day operations, maintenance, and repairs of building systems
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks
- Work closely with the property manager and vendors for efficient service coordination
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes
- Manage work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner
Salary: $30 - $35 per hour, depending on experience.
