Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Civil Engineer – Public Utilities position include:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with the ability to obtain NC licensure via reciprocity
- 5–10 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in municipal water/wastewater systems
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
- Hands-on design and project management of water and sewer line replacements and utility infrastructure
- Supervise and mentor 5 staff including TIS Analysts, Inspectors, and Technicians
- Review and approve subdivision and site plans; ensure compliance with city codes and standards
- Communicate with developers, contractors, public officials, and the general public
- Use AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and other drafting or engineering software for technical planning
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
