Qualifications and responsibilities for this Furniture Upholsterer position include:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in furniture upholstery or auto interiors
- Skilled in fabric cutting, sewing, pattern making, and furniture restoration
- Ability to assess, repair, and reupholster furniture using various tools and techniques
- Create or restore decorative features such as tufting and trimming for custom pieces
- Strong knowledge of fabric types and appropriate upholstery applications
- Physical ability to lift, move, kneel, and work on heavy or oversized furniture
- Excellent attention to detail, craftsmanship, and ability to follow design plans
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team of upholsterers
Salary: $20 - $22 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including 3 weeks PTO per year, health care and dental coverage with 50% of the premium paid by the employer, 100% employer-paid vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, 401K with up to 4% employer match, and a paid birthday day off during your birthday month.
