Description
Are you an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Technician looking to earn top-tier hourly pay while working for a company that values your skills and offers a flexible, family-friendly culture? Based in San Diego, CA, this is a direct-hire opportunity to join a respected and growing commercial refrigeration service provider. You'll work directly with the owner, enjoy independence in the field, and be part of a team that keeps technicians busy with steady work across the San Diego County area.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Commercial Refrigeration Technician position include:
- Minimum 3 years of commercial refrigeration or HVAC field service experience and EPA Certification (Universal preferred)
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and service for walk-ins, ice machines, prep tables, and HVAC units
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Experience with refrigerants such as R290, R404a, R448a, R34B, R22, R10a, or R454B
- Ability to work on-call on a rotating basis (must respond within 2 hours when on-call)
- Must supply own hand tools and preferably power tools; torches, nitrogen tanks, and vacuum pumps are provided
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the office and customers
- Ability to work independently, professionally represent the company, and deliver high-quality service
Salary: $35.00 - $65.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including a company vehicle, fuel card, phone, PTO (flexible accrual up to 2 weeks), 401(k), company-provided uniform, and performance-based bonuses.
