As a Water Resources Engineer, you’ll manage impactful capital projects from planning through construction, ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering critical upgrades to a growing and evolving water system that serves thousands across the region.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Water Resources Engineer, PE position include:
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure and valid Driver’s License required
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public utility or closely related field
- Lead design and construction of projects involving water treatment plants, pump stations, and storage tanks
- Perform hydraulic modeling and system analysis to guide system improvements and maintenance strategies
- Collaborate with departments and external partners on permitting, bidding, and construction oversight
- Assist in budgeting, project scheduling, and managing consultants or contractors during project execution
- Maintain project documentation, reporting, and regulatory compliance records
- Supervise staff engineers or technicians and provide support on technical and operational issues
Salary: $68,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
