Description
Lead impactful retail construction projects across Florida with a company known for its innovation and high-profile builds! We’re looking for an experienced Traveling Commercial Retail Superintendent with the first project based in the St. Petersburg area, starting in approximately six weeks. This opportunity is with a company that has evolved from petroleum infrastructure into a dynamic leader in retail and commercial construction. You’ll oversee exciting projects such as convenience stores, supermarkets, and automotive service centers, while enjoying travel perks and future projects located throughout the South-Eastern United States.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Traveling Commercial Retail Superintendent position include:
- 20+ years of field experience in commercial retail construction, including gas stations, car washes, convenience stores, and retail centers
- OSHA 30 certification required (OSHA 40 preferred)
- Proficient with Procore; MS Project knowledge is a plus
- Experienced in managing commercial builds with budgets around $2.5 million
- Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and owner-provided partners on-site
- Work directly under Senior Project Manager to maintain project quality, safety, and schedule
- Comfortable with 50+ hour weeks as needed; occasional overtime possible
- Willingness to travel throughout Florida and the Southeast, potentially bringing RV to job sites for convenience
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including health and dental insurance, 401k after 30 days and profit sharing after one year, and paid vacation. Travel support includes a company vehicle or mileage reimbursement and a fuel card.
