Qualifications and responsibilities for this Transportation Engineer position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in transportation engineering, including IDOT/Tollway Phase I and II projects.
- Proficiency in MicroStation, GEOPAK, and OpenRoads Designer (ORD); Civil 3D experience is a plus.
- EIT or PE preferred (candidates close to licensure will be considered).
- Design and plan roadway and transportation projects for municipal and state clients.
- Prepare technical reports, construction plans, and detailed specifications.
- Manage project tasks, budgets, and schedules while ensuring quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with teams on civil/site design and water resource projects.
Salary: $90,000 - $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including 50% company-paid health insurance (United Healthcare) after one month, a 401(k)-retirement plan with a company match for the first 3%, professional training support, two weeks of PTO, seven paid holidays, six sick days, and annual performance-based bonuses (with potential mid-year bonuses).
