Qualifications and responsibilities for this Traffic Engineer position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in traffic engineering with expertise in modeling.
- Proficiency in traffic simulation software such as Cube, TransCAD, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of macrosimulation, microsimulation, and big data analysis for transportation projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
- Ability to prepare traffic studies and analyze major operational and safety concerns for motorized and non-motorized traffic.
- Experience in developing transportation models and forecasting traffic demand.
- Knowledge of roadway design principles and traffic impact analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to recommend efficient, safe, and environmentally sound solutions.
Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus bonus potential.
