In this critical leadership role, you will oversee safety, traffic engineering, incident management, and more — directly impacting public safety and transportation in one of America's fastest-growing regions!

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Traffic and Incident Management SME position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Licensed Texas Professional Engineer (PE) required, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience managing safety, traffic, and incident response operations.
  • Oversee and manage budget, staffing, and operations for the TIM Department.
  • Supervise and develop staff including state troopers and patrol teams; ensure compliance with performance metrics.
  • Coordinate public safety operations including incident management, towing services, crash analysis, and emergency response.
  • Lead strategic initiatives using traffic engineering, traffic operations, and intelligent transportation systems (ITS).
  • Utilize software like AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, GIS, and Synchro Pro to manage and analyze traffic data.

Salary: $129,000 - $170,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
