In this Supply Chain Director opportunity in Portland, OR, you’ll lead a large, high-impact supply chain organization that keeps critical fleets mission-ready while modernizing processes across a challenging, post-COVID environment.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Supply Chain Director position include:
- 10+ years in supply chain leadership preferred; 5+ years at director level could work.
- Lead procurement/purchasing, strategic sourcing, supply chain planning, inventory control, materials management, vendor management, and logistics across a team of 33.
- Fix and improve a broken, complex global supply chain involving rare/expensive parts, long lead times, vendor delays, and post-COVID disruption.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize supplier performance, cost, quality, and delivery reliability.
- Drive ERP/MRP adoption and optimization, with strong visibility using Excel and Power BI (Ramco ERP would be a plus).
- Manage inventory levels to balance working capital efficiency with high service levels and readiness for internal and external customers.
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and export/import regulations; lead robust processes and documentation.
- Present supply chain data and recommendations to executive leadership; lead recovery/corrective action and continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma.
Salary: $160,000 - $190,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
