We are currently seeking a Structural Bridge Engineer (S.E.) for our Edwardsville, Illinois office – an exciting role focused on designing and leading bridge and roadway infrastructure projects as part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Structural Bridge Engineer (S.E.) position include:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structural engineering (Master’s preferred); S.E. License in Illinois or ability to obtain within a specified time
- 5–10 years of structural engineering experience on bridge and roadway projects in a consulting firm environment
- Lead projects from conceptual design through construction, focusing on bridge and roadway structures
- Proficient in AASHTO, LRFD, and national transportation design codes
- Perform load calculations, structural analysis, and design of bridge types including girder, slab, suspension, and arch
- Skilled in MathCAD, STAAD-Pro, AutoCAD, REVIT, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Conduct seismic and foundation analysis for transportation infrastructure
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
Salary: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
