We’re seeking a Sr. Facilities Technician in Santa Barbara to support a world-class microfabrication company pushing the boundaries of MEMS and photonics innovation. With a cutting-edge 30,000 sq ft cleanroom facility, you'll join a tight-knit, mission-driven team helping shape the future of biotechnology, sensors, semiconductors, and beyond—all while living in a beautiful coastal paradise.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Sr. Facilities Technician position include:
- 5+ years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting (semiconductor or cleanroom experience preferred)
- Hands-on support for HVAC, chillers, boilers, clean dry air systems, and hazardous gas monitoring systems
- Perform plumbing, carpentry, painting, and patching, as well as preventative maintenance and emergency repairs
- Conduct facility inspections and custodial tasks, handle hazardous waste, and operate forklifts or work in confined spaces as needed
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints for complex facility systems
- Maintain safety protocols including EHS, hazardous material handling, and participate in the facility’s emergency response team
- Must be able to wear PPE including steel-toe boots, lab coats, and safety glasses; regularly access cleanrooms and perform duties around loud equipment
- Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with occasional overtime
Salary: $33.00 - $39.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
