Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Highway Design Engineer position include:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (EIT considered if near licensure); Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
- 7+ years of technical experience in transportation design
- Experience with FDOT and highway projects required; water-related project experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads (highly preferred), MicroStation, 3D corridor modeling, and Microsoft Project
- Strong involvement in hands-on technical design; opportunity to transition into management
- Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and clients, while mentoring junior staff
- Prepare proposals, manage project scopes/schedules/budgets, and serve as Engineer of Record
- Engage in project presentations and client meetings as a key representative
Salary: $100,000 - $145,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
