Qualifications and responsibilities for this Security CAD Designer position include:
- 5+ years of professional CAD drafting/design experience in engineering, electrical, or security systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD required; Revit, Civil 3D, or SolidWorks experience is a plus
- Create and manage accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and documentation for construction and engineering projects
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field personnel to confirm measurements and ensure drawing accuracy
- Interpret technical sketches, data, and specs to deliver compliant, high-quality design documents
- Ensure adherence to project guidelines, codes, and industry standards throughout the design process
- Assist with material take-offs, technical specifications, and participate in design review meetings
- Prior experience in fire alarm, security, or electrical design strongly preferred
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, a 3% IRA match after one year, 1 week of PTO after six months (2 weeks after one year, 3 weeks after five years), 5 sick days, and 2 personal days.
