Qualifications and responsibilities for this Principal Engineer position include:
- A Master's or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of aerospace experience, with 6+ years in the defense industry.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with carbon-carbon composites.
- Expertise in MIL-STD and ASTM standards and regulations related to aerospace and defense materials.
- Leading the design, development, and optimization of carbon-carbon composite materials and structures.
- Managing manufacturing processes, including fabrication, testing, and quality assurance.
- Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance to the team.
- Overseeing a $5 million government-funded project.
Salary: $175,000 - $220,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
