Looking for an exciting leadership opportunity in a thriving millwork shop? We’re seeking a Millwork Shop Director to oversee high-end residential and commercial custom cabinetry projects. This is your chance to take charge of a growing team, lead production from start to finish, and work directly with high-end clientele. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Millwork Shop Director position include:
- 10+ years of experience in cabinet manufacturing and installation, including 5+ years in a leadership role
- Ability to read shop drawings accurately and oversee project planning, estimation, and task assignments
- Hands-on experience building and assembling cabinets, including component installation (80% of the role is shop floor work)
- Proven leadership and communication skills to manage daily operations and hold daily production meetings
- Experience receiving materials and reporting to operations
- Strong organization, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and email; CNC machine experience and tablet use a plus
- Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is a plus
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; no overtime required
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
