Description
A global independent performance testing firm is seeking a Metrology Supervisor in Knoxville, TN 37849 for a fully in-office leadership role. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly technical organization with more than 40 years of success, worldwide projects, and a strong engineering culture supporting powerplant performance testing, calibration, equipment logistics, and advanced instrumentation operations.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Metrology Supervisor position include:
- 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience, with metrology or calibration lab experience required.
- Lead calibration lab and equipment logistics operations while supervising long-term interns and a small team of 2–3 people
- Advanced working knowledge of Fluke Met/Track and Fluke Met/Cal required.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation, sensors, electronic equipment, and field-reported equipment issues.
- Maintain accurate calibration records, certificates, equipment status documentation, inventory tracking, and calibration recall systems.
- Support shipping, receiving, packing lists, procurement, vendor coordination, and project equipment logistics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred; Associate’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience acceptable.
- SharePoint, ERP, database experience, measurement uncertainty, custom calibration procedures, or industrial performance testing experience preferred.
Salary: $75,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
