We are seeking a Mechanical Department Head to lead our Pittsburgh office, manage a talented team, and work on diverse, high-impact projects in commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, and healthcare facilities.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Mechanical Department Head position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (mechanical focus).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum 10 years of HVAC design experience in MEP for commercial, mixed-use, multifamily residential, and healthcare projects.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
- Proficiency in CAD required; Revit experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, LEED requirements, and the construction process.
- Oversee mechanical team workload, ensuring project deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Independently design and develop HVAC systems, equipment selection, and system analysis for various project scales.
Salary: $115,000 - $175,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus bonus opportunities.
