Description
A leading manufacturer of dry solids metering/handling equipment with a global reputation for versatility, durability, and cost-effectiveness is seeking a Lead CNC Machinist. With a focus on innovation, this company holds hundreds of worldwide patents and designs equipment that delivers maximum flexibility, performance, and reliability. With an emphasis on longevity, this company's products are known for having the lowest parts failure rates in the industry.
The ideal candidate for this Lead CNC Machinist position will have 3-5 years of experience in setting up and operating machines, specifically with Mazak and Haas, 3-axis mills and lathes. No programming experience is necessary. This position is for the first shift with hours from 7:30am-4pm, and there is potential for overtime at a rate of 1.5 after some time.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up, operating and maintaining CNC machines
- Ensuring machines are producing parts to the correct specifications
- Monitoring machines for quality and efficiency
- Performing regular maintenance on machines to maintain performance
- Keeping accurate records of machine performance and maintenance activities
- Communicating with other team members and managers to resolve any production issues
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in CNC machining
- Knowledge of Mazak and Haas machines, 3-axis mills and lathes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials
Salary: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
