Join a thriving and rapidly growing engineering firm, just south of Dayton, as an HVAC/R Engineer! This is an exciting opportunity to work with a company known for its exceptional employee retention, long-standing stability (never laid off an employee), and expanding project portfolio across aerospace, defense, automotive, and manufacturing sectors. Specializing in cleanrooms and highly controlled environments, this firm is recognized for its expertise in commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this HVAC/R Engineer position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience designing and analyzing HVAC and refrigeration systems, ideally in cleanrooms, industrial labs, or cold storage.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit, plus load calculation and equipment selection software.
- Experience with refrigerant systems, especially advanced types like transcritical CO₂ or A2L, is a strong plus.
- Responsibilities include 65% technical design and 35% project management, client interaction, and team collaboration.
- Must be comfortable with MS Office Suite (Excel, Project, Teams), and familiarity with BIM360 or Procore is a bonus.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, but EIT candidates with strong experience will be considered.
- Must be able to lead the creation of mechanical airflow diagrams, sequences of operations, and conceptual design sketches while working cross-functionally with internal teams and clients.
Salary: $75,000 - $125,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
