Qualifications and responsibilities for this HVAC Journeyman position include:
- Journeyman HVAC certification with trade school training or apprenticeship completion.
- Experience servicing, installing, and maintaining commercial/industrial HVAC systems.
- Expertise in Automated Control Systems (Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls).
- Knowledge of chillers, boilers, air handlers, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- EPA Section 608 Type III or Universal Certification (proof required).
- Read and interpret manuals, diagrams, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Oversee and coordinate contractor work, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Participate in college project planning and maintenance team meetings.
- Work across three shifts with on-call responsibilities as needed.
- Valid MI driver’s license with fewer than six points; local travel required.
Salary: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, with step increases and potential earnings up to $40.00 per hour after three years.
