Are you an experienced Heavy Civil Estimator looking for an opportunity to take the reins of a well-established commercial site work company? This Laingsburg-based company has been thriving for over 35 years, working with some of the biggest general contractors in Michigan on projects ranging from $250K to $5M. With a tight-knit, family-oriented team and a leadership transition on the horizon, they’re looking for someone who’s ready to step up, own their role, and eventually help lead the company into the future. If you have the estimating and project management expertise to put bids together, read spec books, and manage commercial site projects, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Heavy Civil Estimator position include:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial site work estimating and project management
- Ability to read and interpret spec books and construction plans
- Experience preparing and submitting competitive bids
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with field teams and subcontractors
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects from start to finish
- Familiarity with Trimble Business Center and Trimble GPS (preferred)
- Willingness to be physically present in Michigan and visit job sites as needed
- A strong personality that fits in with a hardworking, field-oriented team
Salary: $60,000 - $100,000+ per year, commensurate with experience.
