Qualifications and responsibilities for this Field Service Engineer position include:
- 3-4+ years of experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Ladder Logic, some Siemens), focusing on usage and maintenance rather than programming.
- Technical degree preferred (electrical focus ideal) or equivalent technical/military training.
- Experience with large industrial equipment, ideally in vacuum, furnace, combustion, or open-air systems, with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% (mostly domestic, some international) on short notice, with strong communication and customer service skills.
- Perform pre-shipment and field commissioning of furnaces, including installation supervision and troubleshooting.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, pyrometry, vacuum leak detection, and hot zone repairs.
- Provide customer training and technical support via phone, web services, and onsite visits.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and represent the company professionally in all interactions.
Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus annual and monthly bonus programs.
