Qualifications and responsibilities for this Electronics Repair & Calibration Technician position include:

  • Minimum of 2 years of technical experience in the repair and calibration of electronic equipment/instruments.
  • Certified Production Technician (CPT) preferred; soldering certification (IPC-A-610 or equivalent) required.
  • Proficiency with circuit schematics, troubleshooting methods, and test equipment such as oscilloscopes and DMMs.
  • Experience with optical and fiber optic technologies, including fusion splicing.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP or RMA systems (training available).
  • Perform calibration and repairs of electronic and fiber optic test equipment, including fiber optic fusion splicing tools.
  • Diagnose faults and repair components at a surface-mount and conventional PCB level.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation, including RMA records, reports, and certificates.
  • Coordinate with production for repairs, ensure SLA compliance, and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Provide service quotes, invoices, and shipping documentation for customers.
  • Monitor and ensure calibration compliance for testing equipment.
  • Continuously improve departmental processes and maintain quality standards.

Salary: $25.00 - $28.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
