As Director of Construction, you'll play a crucial role in expanding the company's construction department, focusing on fit-outs and mid-sized projects that are too large for service teams but too small for major construction firms. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Director of Construction position include:
- Commercial construction experience required (retail space strongly preferred).
- Proven leadership experience managing 5-10 project managers, assistant project managers, and admins.
- Expertise in estimating and project management software such as Procore - Timberline, and Bluebeam transferrable
- Ability to manage multiple fit-out projects nationwide, traveling up to 20% of the time.
- Strong background in budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor partnerships.
- Hands-on experience in overseeing full project lifecycle from bid to completion.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for team building and driving department growth.
- Bachelor’s Degree is a plus
Salary: $150,000 - $175,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
