Qualifications and responsibilities for this Construction Estimator position include:
- At least one year of experience in construction estimating.
- Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Specific experience and knowledge of Insulation for piping and electrical systems, Firestopping and Heat Tracing is preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and navigate architectural plans and specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, with preferred experience in onscreen take-off software.
- Manage bid pricing from vendors and prepare detailed, accurate estimates.
- Conduct ongoing cost analysis and adjust estimating procedures as needed.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and trade partners.
- Complete take-offs using onscreen take-off software and submit bid packages.
- Oversee project logs, manage potential change orders, and ensure projects stay within budget.
Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus percentage bonuses.
