Qualifications and responsibilities for this Civil Engineer position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT), or ability to obtain within 6 months; Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred and may qualify candidates for expanded responsibilities
- Experience with CAD design software—MicroStation, Open Roads Designer, or AutoCAD is strongly preferred
- Ability to design, survey, and stake public infrastructure projects such as streets, utilities, and stormwater systems
- Conduct construction inspections and serve as an on-site project representative to ensure compliance with design plans and specifications
- Prepare cost estimates, assist with assessment reports, and coordinate design details for engineering projects
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors throughout project lifecycles
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset for working with both technical teams and the public
Salary: $71,000 - $87,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
