Based in Chicago, IL, this opportunity is with a nationally respected engineering and construction firm known for leading multi-million-dollar roadway and infrastructure projects. They’re currently seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join their growing team of experts working on high-impact Phase I & II roadway design projects for top clients including IDOT, ISTHA, and local agencies. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Civil Design Engineer position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or actively pursuing licensure.
- 5+ years of roadway design experience.
- Experience with DOT agencies (IDOT, ISTHA, county and local) and standards.
- Proficient in Bentley MicroStation SS10 and OpenRoads Designer; AutoCAD a plus.
- Design tasks include horizontal/vertical alignments, MOT plans, 3D corridor modeling, and stormwater/erosion control plans.
- Responsible for developing PS&E packages for highways, tollways, and ramps.
- Ability to perform quantity calculations and cost estimates.
- Opportunity to advance into management while working under a seasoned project manager.
Salary: $95,000 - $145,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
