We are seeking a Communications Engineer to join a dynamic, fast-paced team that specializes in delivering cutting-edge solutions for fiber optic distribution, copper backbone, CCTV, security, fire alarm systems, and more for public transit agencies and architectural/land engineering projects. This is a unique opportunity for mid to senior-level engineers with expertise in low voltage systems. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Communications Engineer position include:

  • Qualifications:
    • 10+ years of experience in communications engineering (mid-senior level).
    • Expertise in low voltage systems such as fiber optics, CCTV, access control, public address, and fire alarms.
    • Strong experience with public transit and architectural projects, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Familiarity with ETAP software, with SKM transferability.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Design and implement communication systems for public transit projects, including fiber optics and copper networks.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and external clients to ensure seamless integration of communication systems.
    • Self-manage project timelines and deliverables while ensuring client satisfaction.
    • Oversee the installation and maintenance of communication systems.
    • Travel to sites on occasion to provide hands-on support and coordination.
    • Work on repeat business from top clients and contribute to the expansion of the firm’s portfolio.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
    • Support the team in the technical development of communications solutions for complex systems.

Salary: $100,000 - $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
